Rescue Rehab Rehome

Welcome to the Southeast German Shepherd Rescue (SGSR) website! SGSR is a non-profit organization based in North Carolina and committed to assisting German Shepherd Dog (GSD) rescue efforts throughout the Southeast. Our mission is to RESCUE displaced, neglected, or unwanted GSDs; REHAB them with proper medical care, nourishment, and socialization; and REHOME them into caring and responsible forever homes where they are able to thrive as alert, loving, and loyal family members. We invite you to discover more About Us, Join Our Team, rendezvous at a variety of Events, find helpful Resources, Sponsor or Donate, and, of course, learn more about SGSR Dogs!

Dog of the Month:

Sheba Sheba is a very special girl. She was dumped in the shelter by her owners because she Whined all night long. Upon springing her from the shelter, We immediately took her to the vet and discovered she had horrible ear infections in both ears!. Her ears have since recovered but she will require cleaning in both ears every two weeks for the rest of her life. Sheba is a playful cuddle bug and loves toys! She will play with you as much as you want but is a little insecure and requires careful corrections. A simple 'no' works perfectly for this girl but yelling at her causes her to submissively urinate. If you think you can provide the extra special home that Sheba requires, fill out an adoption application here
